Who we are

Global Data Centers (formerly Florida Data Centers) is an independent informational website tracking proposed hyperscale and AI data center projects across the United States and beyond, built and run by one person. We also offer a paid opposition letter service, a merch shop, and a free county alerts email. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice.

What information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact form submissions: If you use the contact or tip form, we collect your name, email address, and the message you send.
  • Opposition letter intake: If you purchase an opposition letter, we collect your name, email, street address, ZIP code, county and state, the concerns you select, and any free-form concern you type.
  • Payment information: Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not see, store, or have access to your full credit card number, CVV, or full billing details. Stripe sends us a confirmation that payment was successful, plus the email address you used at checkout.

Information collected automatically

  • Web analytics: We use Cloudflare Web Analytics and Microsoft Clarity for aggregate, anonymous usage statistics such as page views and which parts of a page get used. Neither tracks you across other websites.

How we use your information

  • To deliver your opposition letter: We use your intake information to write your letter and send it to your county officials in your name. We use your email to send you your copy.
  • To respond to your inquiries: We use contact form information only to respond to your message.
  • To process payment: Stripe uses your payment information to complete the transaction.
  • To improve the site: Aggregate analytics help us understand which pages are useful and which need improvement.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
  • We do not rent your information for marketing purposes.
  • We do not use your address or location data for any purpose other than generating your specific opposition letter.
  • We do not send marketing emails. The only emails you will receive from us are: (a) your purchased opposition letter, (b) county alerts if you signed up for them, with an unsubscribe link in every one, (c) responses to inquiries you initiate, and (d) order and shipping confirmations from Stripe and Printful.
  • We do not use third-party advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or behavioral advertising tools.

How long we keep your information

  • opposition letter data: Your intake data and generated letter are stored for 180 days from purchase, after which they are automatically deleted.
  • Contact form submissions: Stored in our email for as long as we need them to respond to you.
  • Payment records: Stripe retains payment records as required by financial regulations (typically 7 years).
  • Analytics: Aggregate, non-personal analytics are retained per Cloudflare's standard policies.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct any inaccurate information
  • Delete your information from our systems (subject to legal record-keeping requirements)
  • Receive a copy of your information in a portable format
  • Object to specific uses of your information

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it.

Cookies

globaldatacenters.net does not set tracking cookies or use behavioral advertising cookies. Cloudflare may set technical cookies necessary for site security and reliability. Stripe sets cookies during checkout that are necessary for processing payment.

Security

We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS encryption sitewide, secrets stored as encrypted environment variables, and limited access to user data. No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your account or data has been compromised, contact us immediately.
