DayOne, a Singapore-based data center developer, runs a data center campus in Nongsa Digital Park on the Indonesian island of Batam, built with Indonesia's sovereign wealth fund, the Indonesia Investment Authority. The banks that financed the project, DBS and UOB, say the campus will carry about 72 megawatts of power once complete, roughly 5% of Indonesia's projected data center capacity by 2029. In April 2026 DayOne signed Indonesia's largest power supply deal, about 450 megawatts, for a second, larger Batam campus at the nearby Kabil Integrated Industrial Estate.

In June 2025 DBS and UOB lent 6.7 trillion rupiah, about 530 million Singapore dollars, to build and run three data centers at Nongsa, the largest such loan ever made in Indonesian rupiah for a data center. It was the wealth fund's first investment in the sector. "This landmark financing is a strong endorsement of DayOne's proven ability to deliver digital infrastructure at speed and scale," said Jamie Khoo, DayOne's chief executive.

DayOne says the site sits in Nongsa's special economic zone, close enough to Singapore for direct fiber links and access to more than 15 undersea cables, and that one building has LEED Gold certification. The company markets Batam together with Singapore and Johor, Malaysia, as a single cross-border hub for data centers. Power for the new Kabil campus will arrive in phases from Indonesia's state utility, PLN Batam, between 2026 and 2027.
