Fujian's main data center district is the Digital Fujian (Changle) Industrial Park, also called the Southeast Big Data Industrial Park, in the Binhai New City area of Fuzhou, the provincial capital. The provincial, city and Changle governments have planned it together since 2013. The province lists the Digital Fujian Cloud Computing Center, Qihoo 360 and Inspur among its main big data tenants, and China Daily reported in 2019 that more than 130 companies, including Microsoft and Tencent, had moved in.
The province's newer push is AI computing on Chinese hardware. At a Fuzhou conference on December 19, 2025, Newland Hi-Tech Group signed an agreement with Huawei to build services around Huawei's Ascend AI chips, the Fuzhou Daily reported. In Xiamen, Xiamen Torch Group won a roughly 51,150-square-meter plot in May 2022, west of West Binhai Avenue and north of Meifeng Ecological Park, for the Xiamen Digital Industrial Computing Center, a supercomputing center meant to serve factories in Xiamen Science City and Tongxiang High-tech City.
