No new data center has been proposed in Duval County. The one data center on record is an existing building leased by T-Mobile, 32,946 square feet at 7025 A.C. Skinner Parkway in Jacksonville. California investment firm Landmark Dividend bought it on August 6, 2026 for $8.1 million, $2.4 million less than the $10.5 million Gallatin Point Capital paid for it in 2022, according to Duval County property records.
The closest large proposal is just over the county line in Nassau County. In September 2025 the Miami Beach company NextNRG said it had a long-term lease option on 1,600 acres near Jacksonville International Airport, with a 200-megawatt power plant it called a "smart microgrid" on 1,200 acres and the other 400 acres "ideal" for large data centers. By April 2026 Nassau County said it had no application, could not reach the company, and was fielding calls and emails from residents opposed to the plan.
Nassau commissioners approved a moratorium of up to 12 months on June 8, 2026, which stops the county from accepting or approving any data center application in unincorporated Nassau County. A committee of five senior county staff is holding public workshops on water, power, land use and Florida law and will report its findings and policy options to the commissioners.
