CloudHQ Frankfurt (Offenbach) data center, Lämmerspieler Weg, Offenbach am Main

CloudHQ's first Frankfurt-area data center campus sits on Lammerspieler Weg in Offenbach am Main, Germany, just southeast of Frankfurt; it holds two data center buildings of 56 megawatts each, 112 megawatts and 108,000 square meters of floor space in all, built at a cost of 1.1 billion euros. The site is about 8 kilometers from the DE-CIX internet exchange in Frankfurt, one of the world's busiest.

Construction on the first building began in spring 2021, and CloudHQ's campus page says it entered service in 2023, powered by a new substation built on the grounds. By August 2025 the second building's shell was finished and interior work had begun, with its first section due to be usable in early 2026; further sections were to follow every three to six months, with the whole building running by mid-2027.

Mayor Felix Schwenke has backed the project, calling data centers important infrastructure for Offenbach's economy, while critics have raised its energy use, waste heat, diesel backup generators and noise. The campus draws 172 megavolt-amperes of power from utility Energieversorgung Offenbach, and CloudHQ targets a power efficiency rating below 1.25, a measure of how much of that power reaches the computers rather than cooling and other overhead.

CloudHQ is expanding in the region: it bought the former Akzo Nobel factory site in Offenbach in 2023 for a 93-megawatt data center due no earlier than 2027, and west of Frankfurt it holds a 13-hectare site for three more buildings totaling 276 megawatts, saying in December 2025 it had all permits and planned to start construction in 2026.
