Comcast Cable is converting a vacant former TD Bank building at 92 West Main Street in Clinton, Hunterdon County, New Jersey, into a small, unmanned data center to house computer servers and equipment. The Clinton Town land use board approved the conversion, My Central Jersey reported.
The single-story building sits on just over an acre and covers 2,170 square feet; online listings suggest it was built around 1975 and last renovated around 2017 after standing vacant for eight to ten years. Comcast plans to install two generators and remove the drive-through lane at the back of the building. The building will not be staffed around the clock, matching how Comcast runs its other small, unmanned server sites.
With the land use board's approval in hand, what remains is the conversion work itself; as of the August 2025 report, no construction timeline had been made public.
