Data centers in Serbia: 1 project mapped

Serbia's main data center is the government's own: the State Data Center in the Jovanovac area of Kragujevac, in central Serbia, built in 2020 for €30 million. It runs about 14 megawatts of power across roughly 1,080 racks and hosts government systems alongside commercial tenants. Oracle opened a cloud region inside the building in May 2023, the facility shown on the map, and state-owned Telekom Srbija signed on as a customer.

The government wants to grow it. In September 2025 it signed a memorandum with e& enterprise, part of the UAE telecom group e&, to help add up to 40 megawatts at Kragujevac, roughly tripling capacity. The state aims for about 200 megawatts of state-owned data center capacity by 2030 and around 1 gigawatt by 2035, built around the Kragujevac complex. The government calls the building Tier IV, the top reliability grade, but it is not on the Uptime Institute's list of Tier IV sites.

Kragujevac also houses the state's Nvidia-based supercomputer, launched in December 2021, and the government has signed a €50 million contract with the French company Eviden that includes a new supercomputer. The e& agreement is a memorandum, not a contract, and no budget, power source or construction date has been published for the expansion.
