AWS Tnuvot data center, Center District, Israel

Amazon Web Services' 12 megawatt data center at Tnuvot, east of Netanya in Israel's Center District, is already operating. In November 2025 AWS signed a letter of intent to lease a nearby 10.5 acre lot from Rotshtein Real Estate for a second data center of 35 to 40 megawatts, the business paper Globes reported. A data center that size would roughly double AWS's processing capacity in Israel, probably by 2030, according to Globes.

The Tnuvot site is one of three data centers behind the AWS Israel Region, which launched in August 2023 after AWS leased facilities at Tnuvot, Shoham and the Har Tov industrial park near Beit Shemesh. AWS announced the region in June 2021 after it and Google won a $1.2 billion tender to provide cloud services to Israeli government agencies under Project Nimbus. In January 2025 Globes reported that AWS had ended its search for more Israeli data center sites, as many local companies preferred to keep their data abroad.

The November 2025 lease deal at Tnuvot revived those expansion plans. Under the letter of intent, AWS would pay the landowners, led by Rotshtein Real Estate with the Yehuda Levy Group and Moshav Tnuvot, 15 million shekels a year for up to five years while it decides, and could walk away with an exit penalty of up to 25 million shekels.

Globes reported AWS had not yet ordered equipment or committed to building the data center, and put the possible investment at $600 million to $800 million. AWS can hold that option for up to five years before deciding whether to build the second Tnuvot data center.
