Crow Holdings Development data center, Fayetteville, Georgia

Crow Holdings Development and CHI/Acquisitions withdrew their plan for a data center on Highway 85 North in Fayetteville, Fayette County, Georgia, after the city's Planning and Zoning Commission rejected the site plan in late January 2026. The developers gave up their appeal to the Fayetteville City Council on March 20, 2026, days before the council was set to hear it. The plan was a single two-story, 300,000-square-foot building and a substation on 37.4 acres, with cryptomining barred and no power figure released.

The land was already zoned for a data center, so the commission's rejection of the site plan left an appeal to the City Council as the developers' only path forward. The City of Fayetteville said on Facebook that Crow Holdings Development and CHI/Acquisitions, LP had "officially withdrawn their appeal to build a new data center north of the Fayette Pavilion shopping center along Highway 85 North."

Fayetteville already has two other data center plans nearby: QTS's 250-megawatt Project Excalibur, and a separate developer's proposed 2-million-square-foot facility on about 313 acres west of Veterans Parkway. No new filing for the Highway 85 site has followed the March withdrawal.
