Fairview Crossroads Data Center, Fairview Township, Pennsylvania

Fairview Crossroads LLC has proposed a 750,000-square-foot data center worth about $500 million at Interstate 83 and Lewisberry Road in Fairview Township, York County, Pennsylvania, according to representative Kevin Brown. Fairview Township supervisors changed the zoning ordinance in July 2025 to allow data centers as a conditional use, but as of the township's September 1, 2026 planning agenda, no one has filed an actual data center application for the site. Any project here still needs a conditional use hearing before the Board of Supervisors.

Brown, a partner in the Florida-based real estate firm Elysian Partners LLC, presented a concept plan to the Planning Commission in July 2025 for an 84-acre tract along Lewisberry Road. He said the project would raise more than $6 million a year in tax revenue, lifting the township's take from $396 to $396,000 and the West Shore School District's from $4,054 to $4,066,415, with about 120 jobs.

The Planning Commission recommended the zoning change 5-1, with Chairman Williams opposed, and asked for 150-foot setbacks from homes, height limits of 55 to 65 feet, sound berms and noise studies before and after opening. Supervisors adopted Ordinance 2025-03 unanimously. Resident Brandon Freistat backed the zoning change but not a data center at this site: "A data center is closed off," he said. "It doesn't bring in foot traffic."

Brown said in 2025 that grants the company held for Lewisberry Road improvements would expire June 30, 2026; that date has passed with no public update on the grants or a formal application. The Planning Commission's September 1, 2026 agenda still lists no data center proposal for the site.
