Hut 8 received a zoning change in January 2025 for its River Bend data center project in West Feliciana Parish, Louisiana. Hut 8 later signed a 15-year lease with Fluidstack covering 245 MW of IT capacity at the campus.
The initial data hall was scheduled for commissioning in the second quarter of 2027, with more halls expected later that year. Earlier plans called for two large data center buildings on a 611-acre parcel.
