H5 Data Center, La Vista, Nebraska

H5 Data Centers is offering colocation space in a former Yahoo data center at 10917 Harry Watanabe Parkway in La Vista, Nebraska, on the edge of Omaha. H5 lists it as a single building of 234,500 square feet on 32 acres with 17.3 megawatts, DCD reported in January 2025.

Yahoo acquired the shell around 2008 to convert it into a data center, opened it in 2010 and expanded it in 2015. Unlike Yahoo's "chicken-coop" buildings in Lockport, New York and Quincy, Washington, the La Vista property has a flat roof design. H5 added the La Vista site to its website around the turn of 2025, alongside the two Quincy sites, after buying Yahoo's two data center properties in Lockport for $49 million in a sale-leaseback deal in which Yahoo signed a long-term lease. DCD said H5 and Yahoo had not given details on the La Vista deal.

Elsewhere in the Omaha area, Google already runs data centers in Papillion and Omaha, and documents obtained by the Flatwater Free Press in March 2026 showed it considering a fourth Nebraska data center that could need 1,000 to 3,000 megawatts. That would be more than three times the power the whole city of Lincoln uses at summer peak, and it would run on a privately built natural gas plant developed by the Omaha company Tenaska.
