Keel Infrastructure Grant Node Data Center, Moses Lake, Washington

Keel Infrastructure, formerly known as Bitfarms, is converting its former bitcoin mine at 7906 Randolph Road NE in Moses Lake, Grant County, Washington into an 18 megawatt data center called Grant Node, its first full switch from cryptocurrency mining to AI and high performance computing. The company shut down mining there in April 2026 and is now demolishing the old site to build a single story data center with utility yards, parking and stormwater works on six acres supplied by the Grant County Public Utility District. Washington's Department of Ecology covered the construction under a stormwater permit that took effect June 1, 2026, and Keel is targeting commissioning in 2027.

In June 2026 an Amazon Data Services job listing for a data center manager based in Moses Lake set off speculation that Amazon would be the tenant, but the listing named no facility and did not mention Keel; neither company has announced a lease, and as of August 10, 2026 Keel said it had prospective tenants negotiating at its priority sites but had not named a customer for Moses Lake. Keel's 2025 annual filing shows a $128.7 million agreement with Vertiv to fit out the building, and in August 2026 the company said the first Vertiv equipment had arrived on site. Keel projects the finished data center will run at a power usage effectiveness of between 1.15 and 1.35, a measure of how much of the power it draws goes to computing rather than cooling and other overhead. Keel chief executive Ben Gagnon said the site was worth converting because of the power already on hand there: "Power is the constraint. Everything else is downstream of it."

The stormwater permit covers construction only and is not approval to build and energize the finished data center; Keel said in August 2026 that its final building permits were still being processed.
