Vantage Reno data center, Sparks, Nevada

Vantage Data Centers is building a 224-megawatt data center campus, NV1, in Sparks near Reno, in Storey County, Nevada, inside the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center. The company is investing nearly $3 billion in four multistory buildings totaling about 1.1 million square feet, with the first scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2026. No report has confirmed that any building has opened, and the campus remains under construction.

The first two buildings are already fully leased, though Vantage has not named the tenants. Filings for two of the buildings, NV11 and NV12, at Electric Avenue and USA Parkway, list investments of $150 million and $254 million, and Vantage was granted Storey County tax abatements in November 2024. NV Energy supplies power through a private 500-megawatt substation built for the site.

Storey County manager Austin Osborne said: "Their arrival marks another important milestone in the growth of our region's digital infrastructure." Vantage joins PowerHouse, Google, Apple, EdgeCore, Novva and Tract building data centers in Storey County; no public dispute over the Reno campus has been reported.
