atNorth data centers: 3 sites mapped

atNorth's two biggest projects on record are still being developed. SWE04 is a data center campus proposed for Hamre Industrial Park in Långsele, Sollefteå Municipality, Sweden, planned to run up to 300 megawatts of power; the company confirmed the plan in February 2026 and expects it operating in the first half of 2028. NOR01, in Tysvær, Norway, on a 36-hectare plot inside the Haugaland Business Park, would open with 120 megawatts and grow to 350 megawatts, with power projected for 2028.

Sollefteå Municipality says it sold atNorth the roughly 50-hectare Hamre plot for 175 million kronor, based on an independent valuation, and expects the project to create 100 to 150 direct jobs. A full environmental review, run by the company and the county administrative board, is still needed before construction starts, and the municipality handles building permits. "We are very pleased that atNorth has chosen Hamre Industrial Park for this significant investment," said Sollefteå mayor Emelie Wrede.

In Norway, park owner Haugaland Næringspark says atNorth aims to invest about NOK 11 billion in NOR01's first phase, with two new substations built by grid operators Statnett and Fagne. atNorth's owner, Swiss investment manager Partners Group, agreed in February 2026 to sell the company to the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and Equinix; atNorth says the sale does not change who is building these sites. The company's other site on record, ICE01 in Hafnarfjörður, Iceland, is already operating at 3.2 megawatts.
