Yotta (Hiranandani) data centers: 6 sites mapped

Yotta, the data center arm of the Mumbai-based Hiranandani Group, runs four operating hyperscale data centers in India: two in Navi Mumbai and one each in Noida and Gujarat, chairman Darshan Hiranandani told Bloomberg in August 2026. Eight smaller local facilities are planned. The company is aiming for 400 megawatts of power capacity within 12 to 18 months and says talks are under way on a stock market listing in India, though Hiranandani would not give a valuation.

Outside India, Yotta formed a joint venture with Nepal's BLC Holding in April 2024 to build a 4-megawatt data center called K1 at Ramkot, about 20 kilometers from Kathmandu, on a three-acre plot; it was expected to open within two years.

A plan to list on the Nasdaq stock exchange by merging with the shell company Cartica Acquisition Corp fell apart in January 2026, after Yotta had already won regulatory approval. "We had received all regulatory approvals for that structure, but we made a strategic decision to not proceed and formally withdrew from that route," said co-founder and chief executive Sunil Gupta, who said Yotta would list in India first instead because "our assets, customers and regulatory responsibilities are in India." Yotta has also been buying heavily into Nvidia chips: in February 2026 it said it would spend $2 billion on 20,000 Blackwell processors for its Noida site, and in August a further order for 50,000 Vera Rubin chips was reported at $7.5 billion.
