CleanSpark is turning its bitcoin mining site in Sandersville, the seat of Washington County, Georgia, into a data center under a 20-year lease with Meta for 175 megawatts of computing power. CleanSpark, which has run the Sandersville site since 2022, announced the lease on July 14, 2026, with an expected $6.6 billion in revenue over the first 20 years and two five-year renewal options. CleanSpark first described the tenant only as a "high investment-grade, leading global technology company," but a September 2026 SEC filing named it as Anviran, a Meta subsidiary, with Meta as guarantor of the lease.

The same Meta subsidiary has also signed a letter of intent for 885 megawatts at CleanSpark's Sealy and Brazoria campuses in Texas, part of a wider push by Meta to lock up computing capacity. CleanSpark is seeking $2.227 billion to help pay for the Sandersville build, which it expects to cost $2.08 billion in all, with rent starting in November 2027 and the full build finished by March 2028.
