QTS operates and is expanding its Aurora data center campus at 1160 North Gun Club Road in Arapahoe County, Colorado. The 65-acre campus is planned for at least 160 megawatts of capacity. One of its three large data centers was complete by July 2026, while work continued on the others.
QTS applied to add 98 diesel backup generators to 40 already installed at the campus. Residents raised noise and air pollution concerns at an Aurora town hall, and QTS representatives attended. The company said the additional engines would have pollution controls and its cooling system would recirculate water.
