US Internet Data Center, Robbinsdale, Minnesota

US Internet, a Minnetonka-based fiber internet provider, plans a small data center of about 4,000 square feet at 3819 West Broadway in Robbinsdale, Hennepin County, Minnesota, on the site of the former Robbinsdale Clinic. The Robbinsdale City Council rezoned the lot on December 3, 2024 and approved a variance and conditional use permit for the project on March 4, 2025. The remaining steps are demolition and construction.

The company's chief financial officer, Tim Martin, told the council the building "isn't like data mining, which is a heavy user of power," calling it "really a switching station that our fiber is coming into." It will anchor a fiber network the company plans to lay underground across Robbinsdale over about three years, and US Internet has about half a dozen similar buildings around the Twin Cities.

The site was the Robbinsdale Clinic, which closed in early 2025 after it could not raise enough money to stay open. The 1925 building was later used as a dental office before US Internet's purchase. As of an August 2025 report the clinic building was expected to be demolished to make way for the new facility; no update since has been published.
