Novva Data Centers' home campus, at 6477 West Wells Park Road in West Jordan, outside Salt Lake City, opened its first phase in 2023 and is adding two more buildings after JPMorgan Chase and Starwood Property Trust lent the company $2 billion in March 2025. Novva, started in 2020 by former Utah colocation executive Wes Swenson with backing from the Los Angeles investment firm CIM Group, also runs sites in Colorado Springs, Las Vegas, Reno and San Francisco.

Its biggest expansion is in Mesa, Arizona, where it bought 165 acres in southeast Mesa in 2023 and later filed plans, known as Project Borealis, for five data centers totaling 300 megawatts, with a first phase of 96 megawatts due in late 2026; the city has approved the project. Novva sits in the same stretch of southeast Mesa, the Elliot Road Technology Corridor, as Apple, Google, Meta and EdgeCore, and the sudden crowding pushed the city to write its first rules for data centers, including a 400-foot buffer from homes and churches and a 60-foot height limit. The city council adopted those rules in July 2025. Novva's own attorney told the city the campus would bring more than $3 billion in construction investment.
