Data centers in Bossier Parish, Louisiana: 1 project mapped

Bossier Parish is getting one of the campuses in Amazon's northwest Louisiana data center investment, announced in February 2026 as the largest single company investment in the region's history. STACK Infrastructure is developing the $6 billion Bossier site for Amazon Web Services on more than 1,000 acres off Louisiana Highway 3, north of Benton near Lone Oak Drive: a 1.3-million-square-foot campus of six buildings of about 218,000 square feet each, the first due in 2028. The legal entity behind it is TXLAAR LLC.

On March 18, 2026 the Police Jury unanimously approved the final plat after a two-hour public hearing, the first since the data center was confirmed, dominated by questions about health, water, noise, drainage and the non-disclosure agreements that kept it quiet. STACK said the campus would use about 57 million gallons of water a year, the equivalent of about 526 households, though its water agreement with Bossier City allows up to 13.5 million gallons a day. Cooling wastewater would be treated on site and discharged either to a municipal plant or to the Red River, which STACK was still working out with regulators. "We are all committed to ensuring that our ratepayers do not feel the impacts from any development from the data centers," said Amanda Nottingham of SWEPCO, which says it has the capacity without new generation; Amazon and STACK have committed to pay for new transmission. Parish Attorney Patrick Jackson said Bossier's noise ordinance, written with a Georgia Tech acoustic scientist, specifically targets low-frequency hum.

Police Jury administrator Ken Ward says the data center will pay Bossier City about $12 million a year for water, and that the upgrades Amazon is funding to a system that loses about a quarter of its treated water could cover the campus's daily needs, except in late August and September. "It's a win-win for Bossier City – they get their problem fixed and they get paid for it," he said.
