Khazna Data Centers, a unit of Abu Dhabi's G42, is building QAJ01, a 100 megawatt data center in Ajman, United Arab Emirates, its largest facility yet, with 20 data halls of 5 megawatts each and liquid cooling, a system that uses fluid instead of just air to handle the heat dense AI computer clusters produce. Khazna announced the project at the Gitex Global technology conference in Dubai in October 2024, when chief executive Hassan Al Naqbi said it would open in the third quarter of 2025. That date has passed with no opening announced; on February 24, 2026, Uptime Institute certified the facility's design under its Tier III standard, the first of two steps in checking a data center's build against its plans.

Electricity for the site is to come from Etihad Water and Electricity, and Al Naqbi said the average construction cost across Khazna's projects is "between $8 million and $12 million" per megawatt. Khazna's chief technology officer Abdulmajeed Harmoodi said: "QAJ1 sets a new regional benchmark, combining high-density readiness, advanced liquid cooling, and globally certified design to support the next generation of compute." Al Naqbi said Khazna held about 74 percent of the UAE data center market in 2024 and expects the country's total capacity to reach at least 850 megawatts by 2029.
