Khazna Data Centers, the G42-owned company building the Stargate UAE data center cluster, is also developing the wider 5-gigawatt UAE-US AI Campus that will surround it, a data center campus spanning 10 square miles in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, that Presidents Donald Trump and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan announced on May 22, 2025. The campus is meant to be powered by nuclear, solar and natural gas power to cut carbon emissions, and will also include a science park for research and training. Its first cluster, the 1-gigawatt Stargate UAE, is being built with OpenAI, Oracle, Nvidia, Cisco and SoftBank and has its own page here; no timeline has been shared for the rest of the wider campus.

G42's chair Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is also the UAE's national security adviser, called the deal part of the US-UAE AI Acceleration Partnership, under which UAE entities are also expanding investment in US data center projects such as Stargate US. OpenAI chief executive Sam Altman called it the first Stargate site built outside the United States. US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said American companies will operate the data centers and offer American-managed cloud services across the region, with what he called strong security guarantees against the diversion of US technology.
