Vantage Berlin I data center, Brandenburg, Germany

Vantage Data Centers' Berlin I campus sits on Uferring 5 in Brandenburg Park, Ludwigsfelde, south of Berlin in Brandenburg, Germany, and is the company's second site in Germany after Frankfurt. The campus opened its first building in June 2022 and is planned, once built out across all four buildings, to hold 56 megawatts of power across 25 acres (10 hectares).

At the 2022 opening the campus was described as 13 acres, with the first building alone offering 32 megawatts across 250,000 square feet; the fuller 25-acre, 56-megawatt figure is the plan for all four buildings together. "Data centers are the backbone of our digitalized world and therefore also an important part of the success of the industries based in Ludwigsfelde," Ludwigsfelde mayor Andreas Igel said at the opening. A second building later opened at 16 megawatts across 12,000 square meters, and Vantage's president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Antoine Boniface, said the company had grown quickly and was continuing to build across the region.

A 110 kilovolt substation on the campus, with backup redundancy, draws power from the utility E.DIS, and cooling runs on a closed-loop chilled water system with air-side economizers that the company says keeps water use near zero liters per kilowatt hour. Solar panels supply part of the power for offices and other non-critical areas, and waste heat from the campus is fed into district heating.
