Vantage Berlin II data center, Brandenburg, Germany

Vantage Data Centers' Berlin II campus is in Mittenwalde, just south of Berlin in Brandenburg, Germany, where the first of two planned buildings has been running since November 2022, offering 16 megawatts of power. The five-hectare campus is meant to hold two such buildings at full build-out, for 32 megawatts across 24,000 square meters, about 20 kilometers from Vantage's Berlin I campus.

Mittenwalde lost a much bigger data center plan in 2025. Google had bought a 30-hectare plot near Schenkendorf, between the L30 and A13 highways, in 2022, but withdrew in July 2025 after what a spokesperson called "a thorough review of feasibility, general market developments, and our business priorities." The regional paper Markische Allgemeine Zeitung reported that local power availability was not suited to AI computing needs, and that even Google's original, smaller plan would have needed the power grid expanded.

Vantage's own campus has an on-site substation rated at 45 megawatts, fed by the regional utility E.DIS, and a closed-loop chilled water system using air-cooled chillers; the company broke ground in late 2021 and is backed by DigitalBridge.
