Vantage New Albany (OH1) data center, New Albany, Ohio

Vantage Data Centers is building a 192-megawatt data center campus in New Albany, Licking County, Ohio, inside Lincoln Property Co.'s Silicon Heartland Innovation Park on Horizon Court. Vantage broke ground in October 2024 on three buildings totaling more than 1.5 million square feet, investing more than $2 billion, with the first building due to open by December 2025. The campus remains under construction; no report has confirmed that any building has opened.

American Electric Power Ohio supplies the power, and Turner Construction is the general contractor. New Albany Mayor Sloan Spalding welcomed the company, saying its "values align closely with ours." Vantage also partnered with the New Albany Community Foundation and the Columbus State Community College Foundation on workforce training.

AEP Ohio's data center tariff, which requires big power customers like Vantage to commit to monthly billing minimums, has cut the utility's demand forecast from 30,000 megawatts to about 5,700 megawatts, and manufacturers are challenging the rule at the Ohio Supreme Court.
