NTT Global Data Centers opened a data center at its Kolkata campus in West Bengal, India. The campus is in the Bengal Silicon Valley Tech Hub. NTT began work on the site in early 2023.
The first building was planned with 100,000 square feet of space, a nine-megawatt facility load and six megawatts for computing equipment. At full build-out, the campus is planned for more than 600,000 square feet and 40 megawatts across 7.5 acres. The 40-megawatt figure describes the planned full campus rather than the first operating building.
