Mesone Data Center, Jarrell, Texas

The Mesone data center is proposed on 150 acres at 3911 County Road 305 in Jarrell, Williamson County, Texas, by Prominent Property Group with partners Savannah Developers and Power Infrastructure Partners. The $850 million campus would draw 200 megawatts of power at full build, with water recycled on site and some evaporation expected. Jarrell's city council approved the site's zoning on October 14, 2025, annexing the parcel, changing its land use to Business Park and rezoning it from agriculture to light industrial and warehousing.

A dozen residents spoke against the project at a council meeting, among them Houston Brautigan, who moved to Jarrell from Ashburn, Virginia: "I moved 1,200 miles to get away from that. The last thing I want to do is to have one built half a mile from my house." The site sits behind the local high school, and a resident petition argues the campus "threatens to introduce constant noise pollution, heavy truck traffic, and significant water and power consumption" near students. Jarrell expects about $7.2 million a year in revenue from the campus once it is running.

By April 2026 the city's utility, development and tax incentive agreements had not been finalized, and in May 2026 residents were collecting signatures against the project; no later update has been published. Building the campus would take 400 to 450 workers and running it about 50; the developers plan to seek tax abatements once the utility agreements are settled.
