Project Dorothy 1A and 1B data center, Silverton, Texas

Soluna's data center campus just south of Silverton, off Highway 207 in Briscoe County, Texas, runs on the wind: the company says it has built 98 megawatts of what it calls renewable computing there. The first two buildings, Dorothy 1A and 1B, have a combined 50 megawatts and are used for bitcoin hosting and mining.

In April 2026 Soluna bought the 150 megawatt Briscoe Wind Farm that feeds the site for $53 million, then paid $16.5 million for Spring Lane Capital's stake in Dorothy 1A to own it outright. "With Briscoe secured and Dorothy 1A now fully owned, we have the foundation for what comes next: a vertically integrated AI campus, from energy generation to compute infrastructure, that we control end to end," chief executive John Belizaire said. The company says the campus will move from bitcoin mining to AI as its main workload over the medium term.

"We've had for a couple of years a bitcoin mining facility, and it's filled in a gap of when we lost our abatement, our pilot money from the wind farms," County Judge Rank Cogdell told KVII in July 2026. With a larger data center planned, the county is weighing a tax abatement as a way to put safeguards in place, and commissioners were working with the company on a town hall where residents could ask questions. "It might even create more income for other businesses to come in, and of course our town is struggling; the whole county is struggling at this time," said Danny Francis, the Precinct 3 commissioner. That next phase, Dorothy 3, is an AI campus of up to 300 megawatts on 397 acres Soluna bought beside the existing buildings, across from the wind farm's substation.
